has been fired! A week ago I was considering writing a story about the battle of the Nguyens after I began seeing Janet’s signs out so quickly, but eventually I abandoned it because I’ve always felt that there is no such thing as too early to start campaigning. In many ways, a politician should actually never stop, so I felt it wasn’t newsworthy.
That changed last night when on Harbor Blvd in Santa Ana I saw this. Oh yeah, people, it’s going to be that kind of race. Democrats were angry with Joe Dunn for saying no to the race and with Paul Lucas for almost saying yes, but there stands a very good likelihood that this race will be another bloodbath and the Democrats will most certainly gain the seat back next time around if they can field a mainstream candidate.
So be patient Dems. Things tend to work out in the end and I’m sure they will here. The added benefit is that now Joe will have more time to prepare for his eventual new job. Joe Dunn, I hope you’re listening. A lot of people think you would be perfect for this seat!
